June is in full swing, and Charleston is settling into the rhythm of summer. Longer days, warmer evenings, and a full calendar of events make this one of the best times of year to enjoy everything the Lowcountry has to offer.

The Charleston Museum is hosting the original copy of the Declaration of Independence throughout the summer, giving visitors a chance to experience an important piece of American history right here in the Lowcountry.

Charleston’s local markets continue to be a favorite summer tradition. Spend a Saturday morning exploring the vendors at the Charleston Farmers Market, enjoy fresh produce and local goods at the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market on Tuesdays, visit the West Ashley Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoons, or grab dinner from local vendors during Food Truck Fridays at Kiawah Town Hall.

June also brings exciting events throughout the area, including Charleston Battery home matches, the Carolina Billfish Classic, and the Holy City Cigar Festival. Whether you’re looking for live entertainment, outdoor activities, local flavors, or a way to connect with the community, Charleston’s summer calendar has something for everyone.
